It's Otis Spunkmeyer Cookie Time!
The McKenny PTO is again hosting its annual fundraiser to support PTO programs and projects for our students. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year to raise money for all of the events, programs and other “extras” the PTO provides for the school. This year, we’re asking McKenny families to get involved in one of two ways: through the purchase of Otis Spunkmeyer cookies OR by simply donating money to the McKenny PTO. Your contributions will help us fund things like visits from the Missoula Children’s Theater and a part-time reading instructor to help students improve their reading skills.
This year we are also hoping to raise enough money to also purchase two new items for the school. The first item on our wish list is a defibrillator machine. Defibrillators have been known to save lives in the event of Sudden Cardiac Arrest in children and adults (read more about the Seattle program at www.heartofseattleschools.org/). The second wish list item – an upgraded sound system – will better help our assemblies come alive for students and visitors alike.
Information packets were distributed to students on Jan. 27. We appreciate every donation – whether through the purchase of cookies or a personal check/cash. All monies/sales forms must be returned to the school by Wednesday, Feb. 8. Cookies and other Otis products will be delivered by March 15. Awww...What a Cute Baby!
Attention parents of McKenny fifth-graders! Now's a good time to start thinking about which baby picture you'd like to submit for the 2011-12 yearbook. The one of her with the bowl of spaghetti on her head? The one of him in the bubble bath? Yearbook Committee Chair needs your photos either uploaded to the yearbook site or e-mailed to her directly. PHOTOS ARE DUE NO LATER THAN MARCH 15. Late entries will NOT be accepted, so please get a jump start on things today!
